Project summary: Piloting and refinement of policy options for transition from half-day to full-day schooling, focusing on ethnic minorities and children in remote and rural areas
Position: Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) adviser

Activities
- developed research frameworks for assessing program impact and effectiveness
- developed processes and instruments for monitoring the quality of in-service teacher training
- developed a training effectiveness index and data collection mechanisms
- led the further development of the program’s Logical Framework matrix, M&E framework (at school, district and province levels) and M&E plan
- assisted in the review of the program reporting system and implementation of the M&E plan
- developed research proposals and terms of reference for supplementary policy and evaluation studies
- supported the development and implementation of an early-grade reading assessment (EGRA), including technical advice on research questions, approach and methodology, and sampling
- analysed M&E data and information and developed six-monthly reports on results, changes in indicators, and progress toward objectives
- designed and delivered M&E training for program staff and for education administrators at national, provincial and district levels
